"In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon"
Unwillingly mine
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon"
Unwillingly mine
The man stared at the picture he held in his hands, his eyes swollen.
He pushed his hair out of his eyes, so he could see better.
After minutes of staring at the photo, he closed his eyes, and imagined the woman within the photograph.
Beautiful.
She was beautiful, everything about her perfect; face, hair, body, her personality.
He felt her hands holding his, her smile wide, speaking the words that gradually devoured him, weakening his heart.
Her lips, pressed against his, and even for the briefest moment, made his body melt.
Ever since the day he had found her, drenched in red, he knew that she would eternally be his, her whole being, even her life; and he would, in time, become hers.
He remembered every moment they spent together, from having a small picnic out in her garden, to the formal events they would attend,
to her knife meeting those disgusting prostitutes lower bodies , or laying in her bed, cuddling and cooing her while she begged to never be left alone.
He had promised her that he would never leave her side, but he knew full well that he would have never been able to keep that promise.
For, he had already set his sights on someone else, hadn't he?
That's why he had hurt her, right?
To get her out of they way of him and that butler?
He opened his eyes, glancing down toward the photo, once more.
"Damn it, loot at what you've done to me....Madame."
The death god placed the photo down onto the earth, placing fresh roses next to the picture, in front of her tombstone.
Grell Sutcliff wiped his tears , and turned his back to the grave, not once looking back as he made his way down the hill.
But he could of sworn, even for one second,...
That she had been sitting at the top of the hill, watching as he walked away.
